Larry was first licensed in 1965 as WN9QFT
and was active in college in the early 1970 s
from the University of Missouri (School of
Mines) station W0EEE.
In the 1990 s (as NA5Q and later K5OT), contesting activity increased from his home station near Fort Worth, Texas - along with numerous multi-ops at WX0B and K5MR.
During the past decade, he has enjoyed DX travel and CQWW contests from XX9, EY, TK, C5 and HC8.
Larry and his wife are currently building a new home in central Texas, so he is a frequent guest-op at nearby stations, courtesy of W5KFT, K5NA, N5TW, and others.
